the last thing thursdays: summer travel edition

The last thing . . .

{I got excited for} We are going on a cruise at the beginning of August and I couldn't be more excited! On August 8th we're flying down to Rome for a few days and then hopping on an MSC Mediterranean Cruise. Our stops include: the Amalfi Coast, Tunis, Ibiza, Palma, Marseille and Genoa. After our last stop in Genoa we plan on riding the train to Pisa, Florence and Venice. Right after we booked in May, we realized that the cruise will fall on our 1 year anniversary. Our gift to each other. :) Has anyone been on the trains in Italy? Any tips?

{I stocked up on} I never travel anywhere without my Clinique All About Eyes cream because my skin gets really dehydrated on flights. I also travel with a good facial moisturizer. If I ever forget any of this, my skin gets so flaky I can't even wear makeup. Plus, I have a slight problem staying hydrated and this at least helps my skin.

{I purchased on my Kindle} A few days ago I realized that I had read the entire Hunger Games Trilogy and every other popular book, but I had never started The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I loved the movie and was going to start the book a while ago, but sadly that never happened. I'll have plenty of time to read this on plane rides in the next few weeks.

{I found for my camera} I was searching around on Etsy for a purse/camera bag because I hate looking like a huge tourist with a bunch of pouches strapped to me, and found this great gray and white chevron bag by Darby Mack. It keeps my camera and camera lenses protected and it doesn't look obvious like most camera bags found at electronics stores. Plus, the pattern is cute!

{I drooled over} I'm in love with this Kate Spade travel wallet because it's shiny, pink, and it has room for your passport, money and cards. I'm always looking for ways to organize my life and this would definitely help!
