friday's letters
Dear Friday, Thank you for hurrying. It's Restaurant Week here and I'm excited to try the new Indian place down the street. Naan bread, poppadoms, and Tandoori chicken are a few of my favorite things. Dear Husband, I can't wait to hit the trails with you on our shiny, new bikes! And Malcolm? You'll come too. We'll most likely pick up one of these awesome pet wagons for your comfort and protection {yes, we will look like idiots hauling our Westie behind us}. Dear Honey Boo Boo, What the ---- But really, why? I finally saw the show a few nights ago and I don't even know what to say. Sketti with butter and ketchup and "guess the breath" game? I don't understand what the hype is and I probably lost brain cells while watching, but more power to you all for having a show on The "Learning" Channel and making money off of it. Dear Malcolm, While we were at the vet, I saw information signs about a Rattlesnake vaccine for dogs. Usually I wouldn't even consider this, but last year you decided to lick a jellyfish on a Scottish beach and we all know what happened afterwards {reaction, foaming, emergency vet visit, shot}. Has anyone had their dogs vaccinated against snakes? If so, I'd love more information. Dear K, I can't believe you're moving to Arizona next week! Who knew that we would be in the same city again after all of these years. Training for our 5K and yoga classes will be great fun! Dear Blog Friends, As always, thank you for reading. I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend!

I've never heard of a shot to have your dog vaccinated against snakes but I'd definitely do it! I'm a worry wart and always think the worst could happen lol. I watched Honey Boo Boo twice and I just can't handle it. It makes me uncomfortable watching it. I want to step in and say, "where are your manners?"...so no Honey Boo Boo for me =)
ReplyDeleteIt's restaurant week here too! We haven't decided where we're going to go yet tomorrow night, but a 3 course meal for $30 is always a good thing!
ReplyDeleteI totally don't get the whole Honey Boo Boo thing either...pretty ridiculous, kinda sad, and, yes, I feel like I lost brain cells watching it too.
Have a great weekend!
Restaurant week! Yumm
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to bring myself to watch the boo-boo.

ReplyDeleteAw -- have such a great weekend! Have fun on the bike ride + trying out a new restaurant!
ReplyDeleteIsn’t That Charming.
Honey Boo Boo is just sad to me. It feels like these people have no idea that they are famous because people are making fun of them. I loooove reality television, but that is where I draw the line!!
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm Courtney and I found your blog from the link up.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to say I'm a new follower :)
My inlaw's dog got bit by a rattle snake once. It was very touch and go but she made it through! Needless to say now all of their dogs have the vaccine. You never know! Especially where they live out in the country, it makes sense.

Thanks for your time. :)
I wish we had a restaurant week! Too bad all of the nice restaurants are in the next town over. Hope you and your hubs have an awesome time hitting the trails! I haven't gotten our dogs vaccinated for rattlesnake bites, only because we don't have them around here. Love your letters ♥
ReplyDeleteI don't understand Honey Boo Boo either. The episode I watched involved something called a bellyflop contest at the "Redneck Games".
ReplyDeleteIndian food is the best--if you have a change, you should try chicken butter masala. Besides that, tandoori chicken and naan are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, Indian food..yumm. Never ate it before this year and it's now become one of my favorites. And secondly, have a blast on your bikes! It sounds like such a great date activity with your husband!
