friday's letters

Dear Friday, Usually I'm happy to see you but my friend is back home already and I have no one to hike with during the day. And no one to shop with, complain to, and buy Sprinkles cupcakes with. By the way, has anyone tried Sprinkles new German chocolate cupcake? Oh my gosh. Stuff your faces now! Dear Camelback Mountain, I wasn't expecting to have to pull myself up you with a metal railing, but I did it. And I'm happy to report that we made it to the top and back and I only fell once... and we didn't get stung by killer bees. I'd call that a win. Dear Nikon D600, You're so much heavier than my Canon. I honestly feel like I need to lift some weights before I use you as my regular camera. Have I ever mentioned that I have NO upper body strength? Dear Malcolm and Dexter, Why do you play all day and then stop to lick each other's mouths? Hmm. Dear Readers, Please check back later today for a giveaway from Datevitation! One winner will be able to create a custom love coupon book that's perfect for Valentine's Day. I gave B his coupon book a few nights ago and he absolutely loved it.

Linking up with Ashley today for Friday's Letters.

  1. Ok, so you've made me miss living in Phoenix. Camelback is soooo hard to hike; one time we were hiking it and this guy ran (seriously) the mountain! Yipes! Hi! I found your blog on the blog hop and am your newest follower. I was kinda hopin' that you'd hop on by my blog, stay a while, and follow me back if you like what ya read!

    Have a great day,
    Sarah

    1. Funny you mention people running up the mountain, because SO many elderly people were doing this. Seriously. Is it a rule in Phoenix that they have to be in better shape than people in their twenties? Because I feel embarrassed every time I go hiking! Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Eeeek killer bees the main reason I'm not one for the great outdoors, I hate stinging insects!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope she grows out of the chewing faze soon. Sounds like you have your hands full with 2! x

  8. Glad you got to do the Camelback hike! It is SO hard, but so worth the views you get from the top (if it's not too smoggy). I grew up in Phoenix, and that hike is one of the things I miss most. If you like hiking, you should also try taking a little day trip out to Cave Creek- there are some really great hikes out that way (and cute restaurants/shopping, too). Let me know if you'd like me to give you more specifics. :-)
